Our research focuses on finding safer and effective cell therapies for cancer without adverse effects, particularly for those for which we have no or very limited treatment options. Our natural immune system protects us from growth of cancerous cells. One of the most important innate cell types responsible for natural defense against cancer cells is the natural killer (NK) cell. When cancer cells evade NK cell-mediated destruction, the result is tumor formation. Tumors not only reduce NK cell numbers but also significantly inhibit their signaling and function, further hindering the immune system’s ability to eliminate the tumor.

We increase the number and function of NK cells in cancer patients could provide a safe and effective cancer treatment, particularly for cancers where limited treatment options are available, such as triple negative breast, Lung, Prostate and others. We isolate NK cells from patients (Autologous), from healthy donors, cord blood and IPSCs (Allogenic). We use bioreactor technology and screening methods to enrich pure NK cells to

Unlike T-cells, however, NK cells are not tailored to specific antigens. Instead, they are a cellular Swiss Army knife that can detect and destroy any cell that looks abnormal. While NK cells can recognize and attack cancer cells, they unfortunately don’t live long enough or multiply quickly enough to wipe them out entirely.  That’s where physicians and scientists come in. They enhance the NK cells by treating them with immune system biological cocktails tumor specific antigens, cytokines and chemokines.

StemRegenex Bio proprietary technology induces differentiation of hematopoietic stem cells to Natural Killer (NK) cells into a clinical and GMP grade NK cell production followed by activation. Autologous and Allogenic samples are processed within our production platform a completely closed system in a class 100 clean room environment with own cell expansion technology.

1: CD34+ hematopoietic stem cells are collected from patients or cord blood units.

2: NK cell progenitor cells are expanded from stem cells within 2 weeks bioreactor; exposes the cells to our biological cocktails to promote specific expansion of NK cell progenitor cells over progenitor cells of other cell lineages.

3: Progenitor cells are then transferred to 3D bioreactor to differentiate into fully functional NK cells and increase their number.

4: Harvest NK cells from a culture volume of up to 2-10 liters. Cell culture medium is washed out and NK cells are resuspended in an infusion grade solution and subjected characterization and validation.

5: Re-suspende NK cells are supplemented with a cryoprotectant to long term storage.
